The object is to produce an infusion solution for peripheral intravenous administration which comprises a sugar solution containing vitamin B1 and an amino acid solution, both of which are contained separately in chambers in a communicatably constituted multi-chamber container, in such a manner that the degradation of an amino acid can be reduced. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an infusion solution for peripheral intravenous administration, which comprises a sugar solution containing a sugar, a portion of an electrolyte and vitamin B1 and an amino acid solution containing an amino acid, a portion of the electrolyte and a sulfite salt, both of which are contained separately in chambers in a communicatably constituted multi-chamber container. In the method, a carbon dioxide gas is dissolved in the amino acid solution to adjust the pH value of the amino acid solution to a neutral value prior to the high-temperature sterilization of the amino acid solution, sterilizing the solution at a high temperature, and packaging the solution together with an iron-containing deoxygenating agent with a non-gas-permeable outer packaging material having a light-shielding property.
|
