<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in image quality while preventing a failure in the band of a memory bus when compressing and transferring a frame image. <P>SOLUTION: A compression part writes compressed data to a shared memory 110 through a memory bus 120 while compressing a current frame image. An expansion part expands compressed data of the frame image right before the current frame image while reading the data out of the shared memory 110 through the memory bus 120. The compression part and expansion part constitute a frame transfer part. A memory bus monitoring part 410 monitors the degree of congestion of the memory bus 120, and a band prediction part 425 predicts a memory bus band that the frame transfer part uses as the processing of the frame transfer part is carried out to obtain a predicted band. A control part 420 performs control over whether or not access from the frame transfer part to the shared memory 110 is stopped based upon the predicted band that the band prediction part 425 predicts and the monitoring result of the memory bus monitoring part 410. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
