PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve low power consumption and to suppress an interference wave by optimally performing adaptive processing in response to a received signal.

SOLUTION: This communication apparatus is provided with: channel correcting parts 18 and 28 for weighting respective received signals on the basis of SN ratios of the received signal for the received signal by a plurality of antennas 10 and 20 to make them operate as composite diversity; an adaptive processor 40 for weighting the respective received signals so as to suppress an interference wave for the received signals by the plurality of antennas 10 and 20 to make them operate as an adaptive array antenna; a MAC 36 for detecting frequency hopping information of the received signals; and a controller 38 for performing switching between an operation as the composite diversity and the operation as the adaptive array antenna, on the basis of the frequency hopping information.
