<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for forming a transparent coating film, the material which can be used for forming a transparent coating film having two or more kinds of functions, for example, high-refractive index performance, hard-coat function and antistatic performance by applying once. <P>SOLUTION: The coating material for forming a transparent coating film comprises (i) metal oxide fine particles surface-treated with an organic silicon compound and having a surface charge amount of 20 to 100μeq/g, (ii) a hydrophilic matrix-forming component and a hydrophobic matrix-forming component, and (iii) a polar solvent. The coating material is characterized in that: the refractive index of the metal oxide fine particles ranges from 1.60 to 2.60; the concentration of the particles as a solid content ranges from 0.1 to 20 wt.%; the concentration of the matrix-forming component as a solid content ranges from 1 to 50 wt.%; and the concentration ratio of the concentration of the hydrophilic matrix-forming component to the concentration of the hydrophilic matrix-forming component as a solid content ranges from 0.005 to 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
