PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup type vending machine, capable of preventing the danger of scalding of fingers by enabling a purchaser to take out a cup without failure particularly in the nighttime where the surroundings of the vending machine is dark. SOLUTION: When the purchaser opens an outlet door 3 and takes out the cup 1, a cup detection sensor 5a detects that the cup 1 is taken out, and when the outlet door 3 is closed, an outlet door switch 4 detects the closing of the outlet door 3 to extinguish an illuminating light 6.
