PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type two stage compressor with improved compressor efficiency. SOLUTION: A rotary type two stage compressor compressing refrigerant by a first compression element which is a low stage compression element and compressing the refrigerant by a second compression element which is a high stage compression element includes a low stage retainer regulating quantity of refrigerant discharged from the low stage compression element via a low stage delivery port, and a high stage retainer regulating quantity of refrigerant discharged from the high stage compression element via a high stage delivery port. A shape of the low stage delivery port and a shape of the high stage delivery port are same. When lift of the low stage retainer and lift of the high stage retainer are defined as H1, H2 respectively, the purpose of this invention is achieved by making their relation to be H1>H2.
