PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the post-mounting of main rope fixing hardware to the sloped roof surface of an existing building to fix a main rope while securing the water stop performance of the main rope fixing hardware at its mounting site over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The main rope fixing hardware A comprises a plate body 1 formed corresponding to the surface shape of a roof, and a mounting piece 2 formed in series to the plate body 1 and having a hole 2a into/from which the main rope is mounted and demounted. The plate body 1 has a plurality of holes 1a through which the body is fixed to the roof surface. Rails 4 are formed at both cross ends of the plate body, and a stopper 5 is formed at the end 1b. Engaging pieces 8 are formed at both cross ends of a cover member B, and a locking piece 9 is formed at the end for abutting on the stopper 5. In this roof structure, the plate body 1 of the main rope fixing hardware A is fixed with machine screws 3 fixed through two roof materials 11A, 11b to the roof foundation, and water stop treatment is applied to the cover member B fitted into the plate body 1 and to the roof surface.
