The funeral vehicle (1) has a transportation chamber, and has a hatch closing the transportation chamber from the back. The hatch is pivoted around a rotation axis (10) provided in upper area of the hatch between a closing position hanging downward from the axis and a reclining open position. The rear lights (5) are movable such that they take up a travel position on one side, in which it abuts both the vehicle units provided for the drive operation of the funeral vehicle.
