The wheel (1) has a kinetic momentum producing unit for producing kinetic momentum (I) by moving a mass (2). A signal producing unit produces a signal depending on the kinetic momentum that is presented in the form of impulse, angular momentum or a change of torque. The kinetic momentum is directed perpendicular to an steering axis (3) of the wheel, and the mass is arranged in a steering wheel rim (4) of the wheel. The mass is arranged in a hollow pipe (5) as part of the wheel, where the mass includes a portion made of metal i.e. ferrousmagnetic material and/or a coil. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a driver assistance system and/or safety device (2) a procedure for producing a signal.
