BACKLIGHT ASSEMLBY AND FLAT DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

A backlight assembly of a flat display device is provided to improve the brightness by densely arranging lamps near the light diffusing plate, and improve display performance by reducing temperature of a lamp surface. A backlight assembly is connected with an optical sheet(720), a diffusing plate(740), a lamp(760), and a frame mold side. The mold frame located on the upper part of the backlight assembly is fixed on a bottom chassis(750). A first arrangement has wider lamp interval than that of the second arrangement. Lamps of the second arrangement(760b) has narrower lamp interval than that of the lamps of the first arrangement.
