An automatic calling router having a power control function and a power control method thereof are provided to minimize the current consumption of a cellular phone power which occurs by an automatic calling router and to enable a user to confirm the operation of the automatic calling router by displaying on an LED whether or not the automatic calling router operates in a normal state. An interface unit(21) transmits and receives date to and from a cellular phone(10) by being connected to a charging terminal of the cellular phone. A controller(22) outputs a power-down command to a power controller(23) when a predetermined time elapses, and re-operates by an interrupt driving signal. The power controller changes the controller to a power-down state, and a switch(30) receives a re-operation command for the controller from a user. When the switch is in an ON state, an interrupt controller(24) generates an interrupt signal to the controller.
