A line pressure relief valve of the hydraulic control system for automatic transmission is provided to perform the smooth return functioning by preventing the generation of eccentricity of the relief spring. A line pressure relief valve(6) of the hydraulic control system for automatic transmission comprises the columnar valve hole(10), the check ball(14), the relief spring(16), and the orifice ball(20). The columnar valve hole is formed in the intermediate plate in a vertical direction. The columnar valve hole is connected to the exhaust flow path(12) formed in the lower part. The relief spring is arranged in a gap between the check ball and the bottom plate(18). The relief spring elastically supports the check ball. The orifice ball is selectively opened and closed to the check ball. The fixing unit prevents the flow of the guide member.
