This invention provides a sterilization box that can sterilize articles such as test tubes, flasks, beakers, scalpels and forceps smoothly in a short time. In the sterilization box, a sterilizing gas generator (42) for supplying a sterilizing gas into a housing chamber (4) is provided. The sterilizing gas generator (42) atomizes a sterilizing agent solution (aqueous hydrogen peroxide) by an ultrasonic vibrator (46). An ultraviolet light generator (an ultraviolet lamp (50)) for applying ultraviolet light to gas within the housing chamber (4) is provided. The sterilization box is also provided with a door (14) for openably closing an opening (2A) in the housing chamber (4) and a locking device (52) for preventing the door (14) from being opened. Further, the sterilization box is provided with a control device (60) for preventing, by the locking device (52), the door (14) from being opened in a period from the start of the step of sterilization to the step of dismantling. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
