A refrigerator is provided to improve the assembling work of a fan motor by checking the assembled state of the fan motor by a fan motor fixing element. A refrigerator includes a main body having refrigerating and freezing compartments, a fan motor(660) supplying chilled air to the compartments by the rotation of a fan, and a fan motor fixing element for fixing the fan motor in the main body. The fan motor fixing element has a protruded fixing part(622) at an end for receiving and fixing a side of the fan motor, wherein the fixing part has an perforated end for checking the fixed state of the fan motor.
