A planar display device having a plurality of reflectors is provided to high efficiency and high optical uniformity by making the structure of the device simple relatively. In a planar display device having a plurality of reflectors, a light source(202) has on at least one side of the housing and radiates in direction of an opposite side. A plurality of reflectors(201) has a cross section of the optical radiation direction as the semicircle form and reflects the light from the light source forwardly. A diffusing unit(205) receives light reflected from a plurality of reflectors and diffuses the incident light with providing the uniform illumination. The diameter of the cross section of a corresponding reflector increases as the distance between the reflector and the light source increase. |
