A water washing air cleaner is provided to use at the same time an air cleaning function and a humidification function, to make a structure of the water washing air cleaner simple and to effectively remove contaminants in a limited time that the air passes. A water washing air cleaner contains a blower section(22) for inhaling external air, a water tank(2) for storing water, a water projector for spraying the water in order to contact the water and air inhaled through a blower part and a cleaning chamber(8) for providing a space that the inhaled air is contacted with the water emitted through a water projector.
