The spindle seal has a seal (28) with an inner profile that follows an outer profile of a flattened or coiled spindle (10) over a predetermined length. The seal is arranged in a ring (36) that serves as a cage, where the ring preloads the seal against the spindle. The ring lies in a recess (46) of a spindle nut (16) with gentle play. The seal is surrounded by the ring, where the ring exerts a gentle preload on the seal. The ring has two ring parts (38, 40) that are connected with the aid of fasteners i.e. screws (42). |
