A socket for holding a backlight lamp is provided to remove almost all of coupling force when a backlight lamp terminal is inserted, support the backlight lamp terminal after an actuator is operated, and minimize impact on the backlight lamp terminal during the support by the actuator. A socket for holding a backlight lamp holds a backlight lamp terminal. The backlight lamp terminal is contained in a housing(100). The housing is in a containing space(110). An elastic contact piece(200) includes a receiving unit(210) receiving the backlight lamp terminal.
