A fluid operated torque tool for tightening a nut 1 through a spring washer 2 onto a plate 3 on a railroad crossing, comprises a housing 4 and two coaxial drives 5, 6 applying equal turning forces in opposite directions around an axis A. One of the two coaxial drives is located around the other. A first socket 9 is attached to one of the coaxial drives, and is configured to fit on the rectangular plate. A second socket 10 is attached to the other coaxial drive inside the first socket and is configured to fit on the nut, with the washer not being engaged by the sockets. The nut and the spring washer are tightened onto the plate while the first socket and the housing stand still. |
