<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying system capable of effectively purifying NO<SB>X</SB>in an exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying system has, from an upper flow side toward a lower flow side in a flow passage of the exhaust gas in this order, a plasma reactor 13 and a unit 14 for reducing an NO<SB>2</SB>absorbing catalyst packed with a catalyst reacting with NO<SB>X</SB>in the exhaust gas, and also has a reduction agent feeding apparatus 16 that feeds a reduction agent to the upper flow side of the plasma reactor 13. The catalyst is composed of a NO<SB>2</SB>adsorbing catalyst layer and a catalyst layer for selectively reducing NO<SB>2</SB>contacting this NO<SB>2</SB>adsorbing catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
