The vehicle (1) has a roof (2) moveably held over lateral roof connecting rods (9) opposite to a vehicle body (4). The roof is lockable in its open position by one of roof parts (5-7) with an expanding retaining device (15) opposite to the vehicle body. The retaining device is internally or externally movable in contact by the movement of the lateral connecting rod parts. Bolts are held invisible below the roof parts. Each bolt is set in an expanding position on two counter bearings of the body.
