A rotary type heat exchanger is provided to prevent room air to be discharged from retrogressing by engaging rollers in the both direction of a heat recovery wheel for keeping maximum airtightness. A wheel(3) mounted with a heat recovery heating mat(41) is mounted with cylindrical rollers(1) at both side surfaces thereof, wherein the rollers rotate in the almost contact with the wheel while the wheel rotates, thereby preventing the switchover of ventilation.
