<p>An active matrix drive organic EL display panel including an organic TFT with a structure for preventing generation of leakage current, and its fabrication method. The organic EL display panel comprises a substrate, an organic EL element including a first display electrode, an organic function layer and a second display electrode formed sequentially from the substrate, and an organic TFT performing drive control of the organic EL element and including a gate electrode, a gate insulating film, a source/drain electrode and an organic semiconductor layer formed sequentially from the substrate. The organic EL display panel includes a first bank having a first window defining a light emitting region for mounting the organic function layer on the first display electrode and a second window defining a transistor region for mounting the organic function layer between the source/drain electrodes, and a second bank so arranged on the outer periphery of the second window as to project in a direction intersecting the major surface of the substrate. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009</p> |
