An air conditioner is provided to reduce the required materials by disposing heat pipes in a line with respect to air flow direction of an indoor heat exchanger and prevent the leakage of condensed water via an air outlet of an indoor unit. In an indoor unit(1), heat pipes(5) are disposed in a line with respect to the air flow direction of an indoor heat exchanger(3). Refrigerant becomes an overheated area in a cooling operation, so that an auxiliary heat exchanger is disposed between an outlet of the indoor heat exchanger and an inlet(22) of a compressor, wherein the auxiliary heat exchanger is disposed at an upper side of air flow behind the indoor heat exchanger.
