<p>A key for a cylinder lock, in particular lock systems, is disclosed. The key has defining lateral surfaces with longitudinal grooves provided. The arrangement and cross-section of these grooves can be varied. At least one of these grooves has a cross-section which corresponds to a basic triangle which defines a basic flank. Two groove flanks 8 and 9 extend from the basic flank up to an intersection line, whilst one of the groove flanks may also form the bisector of the basic triangle, so that two deep versions of grooves can be arranged in the basic triangle. At least one shallow groove version is formed in which one of the groove flanks is half the length of the flank of the other groove flank that extends from the flat side of the key 1 up to an intersection line 10.</p> |
