The overshoe has an automatic adjustable elastic strap (1) permitting adjustment of size of a town shoe. The strap is connected to a textile or leather forepart covering a toecap (2) resistant to 200 joules, and a slip resistant half sole (3) made of polymer permits ground adherence. A leather or textile lining (6) permits dressing interior of the toecap, and a leather or textile apron (7) protects back heel.
