A mechanical pencil is provided to prevent a mechanical lead from being broken in taking notes and bringing difficulty in taking notes by freely controlling length of the mechanical lead. A mechanical pencil comprises: a tip cap in which the jaw acting as the stopper is formed; a case(20) which is connected to the tip cap, and is formed of a protrusion in the top end portion; a mechanical lead control device(30) in which the inner side is formed in a hexagon; a slider(40) formed of a sleeve and a screw part(41); and a spring(70) providing restoring force. The length of the mechanical lead is controlled by the slider coming back and forth along the screw part inside the case. |
