<p>The invention relates to ethoxylation catalysts based on bimetallic phosphates and to the process for the synthesis thereof. According to the invention, the catalysts are characterized in that the phosphate particles contained by the catalysts have nanometric sizes ranging between 80 and 160 nm, with the pore diameter ranging from 7 to 15 nm and the specific surface ranging between 30 and 100 m2/g. The claimed process for the synthesis of said catalysts consists of the dispersion of an alkyl-trimethyl-ammonium salt in water, admixture of precursors so that the molar ratio P2O5/Rn(CH3)3N4+ varies from 1.5 to 3.0, the molar ratio P2O5/Mel2+ is equal to 1, the molar ratio P2O5/H2O varies from 191 and 242, homogenization, initiation of a gelling process by adjusting the pH value between 10 and 11, by using the aqueous solution of the hydroxide of a quaternary ammonium salt, mixing the same at the ambient temperature for 5 - 24 hours and ageing the gel containing the nanometric phosphate particles by hydro-thermal treatment at 100A C, for 1...5 days.</p> |
