The invention relates to a sensor for the qualitative and/or quantitative determination of an organometallic compound: a) an inorganic, organic or polymeric support; b) an indicator which reacts reversibly with the organometallic product; c) an optical sensor which measures the support absorption, reflectance or emission and transforms it into the concentration of the organometallic compound, and to a method for determining the concentration of the organometallic compound.
