An apparatus for sealing a substrate assembly including a condensing head and a focusing unit, and method thereof is provided to reduce manufacture and maintenance cost and to adamantly seal a substrate by locally heating a seal line only. An apparatus for sealing a substrate assembly comprises the followings: a plurality of substrates; a body supporting a substrate assembly including a seal line arranged between the substrates; a condensing head(100) heating up the seal line, and arranged to a direction aiming at the substrate assembly; and a moving connection unit connected to the body. The condensing head has an internal space, and comprises the followings: a housing(10) forming a transmission part(15) in which a light can be transmitted; a lamp(20) generating a light by a current, and arranged in an internal space of the housing; and a focusing unit(30) focusing a light generated in lamp, and arranged between the transmission part and the lamp. |
