The device has a hollow sphere fixed between a valve and a pipe of palm rest of a shower, where the sphere is crossed by a tube. The sphere has male and female semi-spheres joined by a rubber O-ring. A conduit is placed at the center of the sphere and allows passage of water. The temperature of a surface of the tube is controlled to indirectly measure water consumption. An electronic card processes a temperature profile and controls lighting of LEDs that alert a user about water consumption. The card is triggered when the valve is opened and power is supplied from a flat cell.
