A novel adenovirus vector wherein the expression induction of the adenovirus gene by a foreign promoter inserted into the adenovirus genome is suppressed to thereby lessen inflammation caused at the administration thereof in vivo; a process for producing this vector; a cell line to be used in producing the above recombinant adenovirus vector; a gene therapy method with the use of the above recombinant adenovirus vector; and the like.
