A cathode potential decision unit reads the cathode potential value, related to the potential of the panel, driving the self light device in the saturation region according to the panel temperature and offset the temperature dependent property of the voltage generated in the light emitting operation between the anode electrode and cathode electrode of the self light device. A cathode potential supplying unit(23) generates the cathode potential corresponding to the determined cathode potential value and supplies the electric potential to the common cathode electrode of the self-light emitting type display panel.
