PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which is capable of dispensing with any deburring work for a long hole for telescopic operation, realizing the excellent attachment and reducing the manufacturing cost by preventing other components from being attached to a clamp part, and preventing any sense of incongruity to a driver when adjusting the telescopic position by smoothly and relatively moving the long hole for telescopic operation with respect to a fastening rod. SOLUTION: The steering device comprises projection parts 31a, 31b for forming a space between an outer circumferential surface of a fastening rod and inner surfaces above and below a long hole for telescopic operation, and a tilt spring for pressing the fastening rod against the projection parts so that the fastening rod 27a of a clamp mechanism is not directly brought into contact with inner surfaces 31a, 31b above and below the long hole for telescopic operation, but locally brought into contact therewith.
