PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control output power while improving a power factor in an input current by a continuous mode, and to reduce a switching loss related to power conversion. SOLUTION: This power conversion device comprises: first and second switch arms in which switching elements Q1, Q2 and diodes D1, D2 are connected in a reverse parallel manner, and the diodes are connected in series to each other in reverse polarity; an inductor L1 inserted in series into a circuit in which the first switch arm is connected in parallel to an AC power supply AC; a capacitor C1 inserted in series into a circuit in which the second switch arm is connected in parallel to the first switch arm; and an output circuit having a series circuit composed of a capacitor C2 and an inductor L2 which are connected in parallel to the first switch arm. The switching elements Q1, Q3, which control input currents and output, are alternately turned on and off, and the other switching elements Q2, Q4 are turned on the basis of an error between an output command value and an output detection value, and voltage polarities.
