PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ferrite based stainless steel sheet having excellent ridging resistance and producible at high productivity, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The ferrite based stainless steel sheet having excellent ridging resistance has a componential composition comprising, by mass,≤0.03% C,≤0.03% N,≤0.05% C+N,≤1.0% Si,≤0.50% Mn,≤0.04% P,≤0.02% S, 20.5 to 22.5% Cr, 0.3 to 0.8% Cu,≤1.0% Ni, Ti: 4×(C+N)% to 0.40%, 0.03 to 0.1% V,≤0.5% Nb,≤0.2% Mo, 0.03 to 0.07% Al and 0.0005 to <0.0020% Mg, and in which the product between the V content and the N content (V%×N%) satisfies 0.0005 to 0.0015, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and also, composite inclusions composed of Al-Mg based inclusions and Ti based inclusions in which the mass ratio between Mg and Al (Mg/Al) is≥0.55 are dispersed.
