The invention relates among other things to a power breaker (5) with a housing (10) and at least one switch element (200, 210, 220) arranged within the housing for switching electrical power, each switch element having a longitudinal direction (Z´) which corresponds to the direction (I) of flow of current with the switch element closed or which is parallel thereto. According to the invention, the power breaker is of three-phase design and has three switch elements the longitudinal directions of which are parallel, the three switch elements being arranged adjacent to each other in a cross-section plane (Q) perpendicular to said longitudinal directions and forming the vertices of a triangle (D).
