<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing performance of lubricant without significantly increasing an axial dimension of a power transmission device with a transmission mechanism incorporated. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device is provided with a sealing mechanism around an output shaft (or an input shaft) of the transmission mechanism for preventing leakage of the lubricant in the transmission mechanism. The sealing mechanism includes a first ring-shaped seal lip 42, and a second ring-shaped seal lip 44 which has an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the first seal lip and is concentric with the first seal lip. The first and second seal lips respectively abut on a ring body 21 integrally rotating with the output shaft. The sealing mechanism further includes first and second ring-shaped spring bodies 45, 46 for energizing the first and second seal lips toward an output shaft side, and the first and second seal lips have a sealing function in the same direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
