<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a fuel cell by preventing deterioration of an electrolyte membrane due to hydrogen peroxide ions in the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell equipped with an electrolyte, an anode electrode and a cathode electrode which are a pair of electrodes arranged across the electrolyte, the cathode electrode is constituted so as to contain catalyst particles and capturing particles. Here, the catalyst particles are to be those having a catalytic activity with respect to a reaction in which hydroxide ion is formed from oxygen, while the capturing particles are to be those having the function of capturing hydrogen peroxide ions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
