PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for moving a movable part in a wide range, when image blur prevention control is not enabled, without reducing the accuracy of the image blur prevention control. SOLUTION: The actuator (10) for preventing image blur by moving an imaging lens (16) includes: a fixed part (12); the movable part (14); a movable part supporting means (18) supporting the movable part; a driving means for moving the movable part; a position detecting means (24) detecting the position of the movable part; a signal processing means (46) converting a positional signal into a predetermined magnification positional signal; an A-D converter for a position (48) converting the converted positional signal into a digital signal; and a control means (36) moving the movable part by controlling the driving means, based on the produced digital signal. The signal processing means converts the positional signal to have a different magnification between, in the image blur prevention control where the movable part is translationally moved and in rotation control where the movable part is rotationally moved.
