PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna which can be made compact and light in weight by using simple components without deteriorating a frequency characteristic of an antenna gain. SOLUTION: A radiator 10 has folded dipole type radiating elements 11 and 12 made of a conductor line. A coaxial power feeding part 14 is provided at a middle part of parallel lines 13 connecting the radiating elements 11 and 12. A reflector 20 is made of an elliptical annular conductive plate having an omitted portion 21 at the center part. The length L of the reflector 20 in the direction of an electric field is shorter than 1/2 of wavelength corresponding to an operation frequency. The radiator 10 and the reflector 20 are fixed to the distance of almost 1/4 of wavelength corresponding to an operation frequency by a holding housing 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
