PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a brazing filler metal of an upper tank portion 4 from being led to groove portions 22, 23 and flowing down in the groove portions 22, 23. SOLUTION: Upper ends 22d, 23d of thin plates 22a-22c, 23a-23c are separated from a lower face 12a of the upper tank portion 4 by a prescribed distance. Thus the flowing of brazing filler metal can be blocked even when the brazing filler metal of the upper tank portion is led into the groove portions 22, 23 in brazing, and the groove portions 22, 23 are prevented from being blocked by the brazing filler metal, so that they can function as drainage channels. Further deficiency of the brazing filler metal at a base brazing portion of a flat tube 2 can be prevented. As the generation of voids on a fillet caused by insufficient brazing filler metal at the base brazing portion of the flat tube 2, can be suppressed, fear of infiltration of condensed water into the voids in use, and cracking by freezing can be reduced.
