PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust removing apparatus capable of preventing damage of parts, abnormal abrasion, etc. with a relatively simple configuration even when an unexpected load is applied to e.g. the adhesive roll. SOLUTION: The dust removing apparatus removes dust adhered to the surfaces of flat members while carrying the members and has an adhesive rolls 5A to 5C coming into contact with the surfaces of flat members to adsorb dust, a drive motor 29 driving the rotation of the adhesive rolls 5A to 5C, transmission mechanisms 30 and 31 transmitting the power of the drive motor 29 to the adhesive rolls 5A to 5C and excessive load preventive mechanisms 35 and 36 preventing transmission of excessive loads from the drive motor 29 to the transmission mechanisms 30 and 31.
