PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel forming apparatus facilitating water supply to a field while forming a channel, and simply and surely supplying fertilizer to a field. SOLUTION: This channel forming apparatus 1 has a water absorbing polymer 2 to be a water absorbing material, a water-permeable bag part 3 which holds the water absorbing material 2, the fertilizer 5 which is arranged adjacently to the outside surface 11 of the permeable bag part 3 or the water absorbing material 2, and a connection part 20 for arranging the water-permeable bag part 3. It is preferable to set a water-permeable cover part 4 covering the fertilizer 5. The fertilizer 5 can be omitted when considering only formation of channel and water supply to a field.
