<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor that reduces a loss and wear which may be caused when a connection terminal is fitted in a sensor element and obtains stability of the electrical connection between a connection terminal and an electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal 21 of a connection terminal 2 which is fitted in the rear end 67 of the sensor element 6 is connected electrically to the electrode 75 through a projection 22 which is projected inwardly from the inner circumferential surface 218. The length S between the top end 215 of the terminal 21 and the top end of the inclination portion 221 of the projector 22 is made smaller than the length T between the rear end 68 of the sensor element 6 and the rear end of the electrode 75. When fitting is performed, the gap G between the top end 215 of the terminal 21 and the electrode 75 which is caused from the projector 22 is formed.
