PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug energization control device with a wire severance detecting function for heater lead wires when energizing a glow plug having the plurality of heater lead wires which energize a heater. SOLUTION: A GCU 10 has the glow plug energization control device 40 having a partial energization circuit 42A, and a wire severance detecting circuit 60. The wire severance detecting circuit 60 detects the wire severance or not of heater lead wires 23A, 23B, 23C connected in parallel to the heater 21 of the glow plug 20 by detecting heater one-end side potential Vh which is generated at one end 21N of the heater 21 carrying an electric current through the heater lead wire 23A via the partial energization circuit 42A, through the other heater lead wires 23B, 23C than the heat lead wire 23A.
