PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved drive socket design for a holding and drive fastening tool. SOLUTION: A driving tool 100 has the drive socket 102. The drive socket 102 has alternating longitudinal grooves 104, lobes 106, and conical zones 108. The lobes 106 are not tapered in the conical zones 108 of the drive socket 102, and each has a uniform width to the edge 110 of the drive socket 102. The lobes 106 have uniform widths in the conical zone 108 of the drive socket 102, thereby engaging with the longitudinal grooves of the conical zones of the fastening tool.
