<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient operation system for preventing corrosion of a metallic separator and an operation method using the system, in the operation system of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The operation system of the polymer electrolyte fuel cell has a decision means for knowing or estimating a dew formation state on the inside of a cell and a water pouring means for forming a tentative dew forming state on the inside of the cell so as to avoid power generation operation in a drying/dew formation mixed state on the inside of the cell. When the inside of the cell becomes in the drying/dew formation mixed state during power generation operation, the whole region of the inside of the cell is quickly made in the tentative dew formation state by supplying moisture from the water pouring means, operation of a humidifying means is varied during the tentative dew forming state, gas having a dew point capable of making the whole region of the inside of the cell in a dry state or a dew formation state is arranged so as to be able to supply from the humidifying means, and after arrangement is completed, supply of moisture from the water pouring means is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
