<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the fluctuation in driving current by making the compound capacity of a driving transistor at a gate end side larger than the parasitic capacity of a switching transistor, in an organic EL display device including a pixel circuit wherein a bootstrap circuit for keeping the driving current constant is disposed. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel circuit includes a bootstrap circuit having a holding capacitor 120 arranged between the gate and source of the driving transistor, and configured to selectively connect the source end to a grounding potential through a light emission control transistor. In terms of layout, capacitor formation layers 120G and 120S, a gate connection layer 121G, an anode electrode layer 127A of an organic EL element overlap one another in this order.
