PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary wheel type continuous extruding device and a method of manufacturing a metallic extruded material by which the yield of products is improved by reducing the inclusion in the metallic extruded material by stably discharging only the necessary volume of metal containing a contaminated base stock and an old material. SOLUTION: In the rotary wheel type continuous extruding device 10, the device is provided with a scraper 28 which is brought into slidable contact with the outer peripheral surface 1a of a rotary wheel 1, a cutting tool 21 which is projected in a groove 2 and an adjusting means for adjusting the projecting depth of the cutting tool 21 inside the groove. The cutting tool 21 is formed so that the external size of the section of a portion which is projected inside the groove 2 is larger than the external size of the section of the portion of an abutment 5 which is projected inside the groove 2 and the side faces of the cutting tool, which are formed on both the side faces of the cutting tool 21 are arranged proximately to the surfaces of side walls of the groove which are respectively formed flat in both the side parts of the inner periphery of the groove 2.
